My little guy is going to be turning 4 next month… that’s right 4 years old! Shouldn’t he be more like 4 months? It’s amazing how fast time goes.
Today I wanted to share Tyler’s second birthday party with you. Here is what I wrote almost 2 years ago:
Tyler likes airplanes a lot. He will stop and watch them go by whenever he sees them. So for his second birthday I planned an airplane party for him. I made my own white pom pom to hang above the party table along with the balloons. I was a little intimidated by making it at first, but it was actually pretty easy to make.
The cake pops were really easy to make and super delicious! It was my first time making them but they turned out great. I was so happy with them. On the lollipop sticks on the cake pops, I used washi tape to make the flags. It was a little faster than the straw flags to put together too. I also used washi tape around the lollipop stand. And I made straw flags that say Up, Up and Away!
I just had a small get together with my family this year because we wound up going to Disney World on his actual birthday and he got to eat lunch with his favorite Disney character. Since there were hardly any people left in the restaurant by the time we were finishing up, the characters sang happy birthday to him and rounded up the rest of the kids remaining to do a kongo line around half of the restaurant. Next year I’m sure he will have his friends over and have a big party, but we had such a good time at this year’s trip.
The airplane birthday party has been a popular theme of ours, and the collection is still available in our shop.
