Who loved the new Beauty and the Beast movie? After seeing it we wanted to put our own twist on the classic and create a Beauty and the Beast inspired party. For this party, we wanted something that was a little different for the backdrop – a little more formal.
We purchased fabric from Joann and put up curtains as our backdrop with ribbons tying them back. We added in our banner but felt like it could use another extra little touch. So we cut out a Beauty and the Beast silhouettes in our vinyl decals. They are so easy to put up and take down, it’s a great way to add in a decorative touch.
We kept the color scheme to yellow/gold and purple except for a few touches of red – mainly red roses. We had them decorating the cookies, cake pops and added a red rose in a glass dome. We made the larger roses on the cookies using fondant with a silicone mold we got from the Etsy shop WhysperFairy.
old touches were throughout the party with our glitter cupcake toppers, our fancy frame banner, simple place cards, and our fairytale cake topper. We made a simple invitation with a few gold glitter cut outs of some of the favorite characters.
We loved coming up with ideas for the Beauty and the Beast inspired theme. It was really fun to be able to create another cute, girly party. Hopefully there are some ideas you can use for your own party. We’ve added the party supplies in our Etsy shop.
